All Hosts Inventory

How to use the CT-Ops All Hosts page to approve agents and inspect the registered host fleet.

Use Hosts -> All Hosts as the starting point for host operations. It is the first place to check after installing an agent, and it is the fastest way to move from fleet status into the detail page for a specific machine.

Approve newly registered hosts

Agents installed with a non-auto-approval enrolment token appear in the Pending Agent Approval panel. Review the hostname, OS, registration time, and public-key fingerprint before approving.

Choose Approve when the host is expected. Choose Reject when the registration is unexpected or the token may have been exposed. If the row is a replacement request for an existing host, choose Approve Takeover only when the new agent is intentionally replacing that host.

Read the fleet summary

The summary cards at the top of the page give the immediate fleet state:

  • Total hosts is the number of registered hosts in the current instance.
  • Online shows hosts currently heartbeating.
  • Offline shows hosts that are no longer reporting as online.
  • Firing alerts shows hosts with active alert instances.
  • Stale shows hosts without a recent heartbeat.
  • Pending approval shows agents waiting for administrator action.

Use these cards to decide whether to investigate connectivity, alerting, or approval work before opening individual hosts.

Find resource hotspots

The resource hotspot panel counts hosts currently at or above the configured high-usage threshold for CPU, memory, or disk. Use it when you need a quick answer to “which part of the fleet is under pressure right now?” before opening the affected hosts.

Filter by operating system

The operating-system breakdown shows the most common OS values reported by agents. Selecting an OS narrows the inventory table to hosts in that operating system family.

This is useful for rollout planning, patch triage, and checking whether a platform-specific issue is isolated to one OS group.

Search, filter, sort, and page hosts

The Host Inventory table supports:

  • search by hostname, display name, or IP address
  • status filtering for all, online, offline, or unknown hosts
  • OS filtering
  • page-size control for larger estates
  • sorting by hostname, OS, CPU, memory, disk, last seen time, and status

Each row shows the host name, OS and architecture, IP addresses, current CPU, memory, and disk percentages, last seen time, active alert count, status, and installed-app icons.

Select a hostname to open the host detail page. See Host detail pages for the tabs and tools available after opening a host.

Empty state

If no hosts are registered, the table shows an empty state and points administrators to Settings -> Agents to create an enrolment token. See CT-Ops Agents for agent enrolment and installation steps.
